摘要：根据英语高考和《高中英语课程标准》的内容，提高高中生的阅读能力是教师和学生的迫切要求之一。而阅读能力和阅读策略的使用之间存在着密切的关系。因此对英语阅读策略运用情况的研究必不可少。

本论文通过问卷调查和阅读测试的方法，调查分析了杭州市长河高中学生对元认知策略，认知策略和社会情感策略的子策略的使用情况和高低分数组学生在运用各项子策略方面是否存在差异，差异是什么。研究发现属于元认知策略范畴的计划策略和自我评价策略，属于社会情感策略范畴的方法策略很少被用到。但是认知策略包含的各项子策略使用的频率都处于中等及以上水平。此外，除了自我管控策略，高分组和低分组学生在元认知策略的各项子策略的使用方面不存在显著性差异。在认知策略和社会情感策略范畴内的许多子策略的使用上存在显著性差异。依据上述结果，笔者分别对教师和学生提出了建议，希望可以改善学生使用阅读策略的情况，并进一步提高学生的阅读能力。
