中文摘要：词汇在英语学习中起着非常重要的作用。本研究以杭州市某初级中学八年级四个班的学生为研究对象，按期中考试成绩分为尖子生和落后生，两个组内再分男生组和女生组。采用问卷调查和访谈相结合的研究方法，对尖子生和落后生的词汇学习观念和策略使用情况进行对比研究，同时对两个组内男女生的词汇学习策略使用情况进行对比研究。通过独立样本T检验，本研究发现：1.尖子生更倾向于在实际运用中学习词汇2.尖子生与落后生在四类词汇学习策略（元认知策略、认知策略、交际策略和资源策略）的使用上均存在显著差异,在词汇学习子策略中，两组学生只有在元认知策略中的重复记忆、交际策略中的合作策略和资源策略中的歌曲视频资源的使用上不存在显著差异3.落后生中，男女生在词汇学习策略使用中不存在显著差异，在尖子生中，男女生在认知策略、交际策略和资源策略的使用上存在显著差异，女生更善于使用这些策略。
