摘要：随着读图时代的到来，重视和充分利用教材插图是跟上时代步伐的关键。与英语教材插图的大量增加所不相称的是教师对教材插图的忽视，以及学生认识图片和使用图片能力的缺乏。在此背景下，本论文对人教版初中英语教材插图教学应用现状进行研究，力求通过充分发挥初中英语阅读部分教材插图的作用，探讨利用插图提高教师阅读教学效果和学生阅读学习效果的策略。

本论文以建构主义和脑科学为理论基础，以资阳市乐至县博骏公学初中学段部分教师和学生为主要研究对象，通过问卷调查和课堂观摩开展研究。本论文主要分为以下五个部分：第一部分包括研究背景、研究目的和研究意义；第二部分包括对相关术语解释、理论基础和文献综述；第三部分包括调查研究的问题、对象和工具；第四部分包括相关调查结果和讨论；第五部分包括主要结论、局限性、以及对未来研究的建议。
