摘要：本文以十篇美国总统的就职演讲为研究对象，分析美国女权运动前后美国总统就职演讲中关于性别歧视语言的使用和改进情况。并且通过分析，本文研究出该现象背后的政治、经济、社会和心理原因。在本文最后，作者借鉴女性文体学的概念，总结出词语改进、丰富女性形象等方法，以此减少英语学习者在歧视性语言上的误用，并且提升对性别平等语言的认识。

Abstract

This study analyzes ten inaugural addresses of US presidents to explore the situation of sexist language used before and after the feminist movement in 1960s. It also investigates the political, economic, social and psychological reasons behind this phenomenon, introduces the concept of female stylistics, and proposes a general solution to the sexist problem. The pedagogical implication of the study is to reduce the misuse of discriminatory language by English learners and improve their awareness of gender equality language.
