中文摘要：文学的发展与宗教、哲学、艺术等多相交织,尤其自宗教产生以来,文学便被深深地烙上了宗教的印记。中国和英国都是典型的东西方文明大国,中英两国宗教文化观念的异同在整个世界文化发展史中具有显著的代表性,两国在宗教观念上的异同也必然移植到文学创作中,进而演绎出不同的生命体验。约翰班扬的《天路历程》和吴承恩的《西游记》便是东西方宗教理想主义文学的杰出代表作。研读这两部作品,笔者深以为,两者的宗教观念、态度等元素有着互通互补之处。本文将用比较法和文化研究的方法对两部作品进行平行研究。本文比较全面地研究了中外文学史上具有代表意义的两部宗教作品,为此后的进一步研究两部小说提供了一定的参考,并对异质民族和文化间的相互理解与交流有着积极意义。最后,进一步提出中西民族文化应当求同存异、互补互助,共创和谐世界。
