中文摘要：本文主要对英汉形合意合的对比进行研究。形合与意合是近几年语言学和翻译界研究的重点。目前已经普遍统一了一个观点，英语重视形合，汉语重视意合。所以本篇论文对形合与意合进行研究学习，并探索其对翻译的应用和一些翻译的策略。

本文一共分为四章。第一章为引言。主要写了本篇论文的研究目的与意义以及简要介绍了论文的主要内容。第二章为形合意合的研究综述，主要为文献综述以及形合意合的定义。第三章为英汉形合意合差异。主要写了英语重视形合，汉语重视意合。英语注重显性连接。英语形合的连接方法有关系词，连接词，介词和其他连接手段等。汉语注重隐性连接。汉语的连接方法有语序，重复，对照，紧缩句等连接手段。英汉形合意合的差异性主要有文化差异和思维差异，以及形合意合的相对性。第四章主要写了形合意合对翻译的应用和对翻译的策略，主要包括有英译汉的翻译策略和汉译英的翻译策略。
