Abstract：Little Women is American female novelist Louisa May Alcott’s most famous novel in the Nineteenth century America. Through the mainly five female characters of March family and their family conversations, Alcott set up a new ideal of mature womanhood, which is welcomed by readers for over a hundred years. The moral qualities and value of this ideal character of woman still has great relevance and importance at our time.
