中文摘要：基于当代美国英语语料库，本研究将探索一组英语近义形容词(last，final，ultimate和eventual )之间的行为特征差异, 聚焦该组近义形容词的搭配强度和语域分布模式，确定了这组近义词组的内部结构，并描述了它们的细微的语义和用法差异。本研究主要有以下发现：1.认知名词分布最广，是所有四个形容词的典型搭配；时间类名词主要由last来修饰，而last也主要用于修饰时间名词；实体-行为名词主要由final和ultimate修饰。2.在和认知名词搭配时，ultimate有最重要且基本的含义，而final没有凸显重要性的最大化以及基本性的含义；3.这组近义名词在语域分布上的正式程度从低到高依次为 last，eventual，ultimate和 final。此外，本研究证实了行为档案法对英语近义词研究的有效性和适用性。同时，本研究对英语近义词的教学与学习具有一定的借鉴意义。
