中文摘要：本文以中介语研究的理论为基础，综合当前诸多研究从不同的角度对石化现象产生的原因进行了探讨。石化是妨碍学生学习外语的一大因素。学生在学习一门外语时，当他们达到一定的水平之后，石化就会妨碍学生学习外语。本文以英语为例，通过调查问卷以及访谈等方法，讨论了中介语石化现象的形成过程，从内外因素总结石化现象的成因并给出一定的建议，帮助教师改进教学方法，从而更好地指导学生在学习中意识到自己的不足，主动地学习，克服困难，提高说英语的能力。让学生懂英语、学英语、说英语成为一种时尚，真正感受到英语学习的乐趣。
