摘要：英语写作是初中生英语学习中的重要组成部分，然而，在当代初中英语写作教学中，教师采用传统的英语写作教学模式：教师占据主体地位，学生根据教师的要求在限定时间内进行同样的写作任务。在这种模式下，不同的学生会遇到不同的困难，写作能力的提高有限，使他们渐渐丧失对英语写作的兴趣。分层教学有利于体现素质教育的思想和要求，有利于创造符合学生英语写作水平的课堂，也有利于提高教师的教学效率。但是，分层教学很少应用于初中英语写作课堂。因此，在初中英语写作教学中应用分层教学是很有必要的。

--本课题通过文献回顾来了解分层教学研究的现状，针对初中英语写作教学现状，采用理论研究法，基于“因材施教原则”、“最近发展区理论”和“多元智能理论”等，从分层目标、分层作业和分层评价三个方面提出具有可操作性的分层教学方法来有效提高课堂效率、提高学生写作能力。
