摘要：《中学英语教学大纲》（2000）明确指出:“写是书面表达和传递信息的交际能力，培养初步的写作能力是英语教学的目的之一”。但是，在日常教学实践中，由于传统写作教学模式影响和教师对支架理论的不完全理解，英语写作教学在运用支架理论时仍旧出现了以教师为中心，忽视部分支架搭建等问题。学生在日常写作教学过程中始终处于被动学习状态，写作兴趣难以提高，写作效率低。本研究通过听课、试上、发放问卷等方式，结合中学英语写作教学的特点和中学英语写作中的支架教学实例重点阐述支架理论在初中英语写作教学中的重要作用。实践证明，在初中英语写作教学中有效的运用支架理论，能激发学生的写作兴趣，挖掘学生的写作潜能, 提升学生的写作效率，提高英语写作教学的效果, 给英语写作教学带来新的活力。
