摘要：作为欧洲文艺复兴时期最杰出的戏剧家和作家，威廉·莎士比亚深受人文主义思想的影响。期间他创作了大量脍炙人口的文学作品。他将摆脱封建思想、追求自由平等的人文主义精神赋予其喜剧中的女性形象,因此他笔下的女性形象各具特点，惹人喜爱。本文以莎士比亚的《第十二夜》中女主人公之一薇奥拉为例，主要通过对其女扮男装、为自己追爱、助他人求爱等事例的分析，总结出其追求男女平等，主张个性解放，渴望自由之爱，展现理性聪慧等人文主义特点，并给予现代女性一定的启示。
