摘要：语言是文化的载体之一，而词汇是构建语言的必要材料，在语言中担任着极其重要的角色。自古以来，动物词汇始终是各国语言系统中庞大的一族,包括英语和汉语(Wang & Zhang, 2017)。

因此，本文以动物词汇为对象，采用比较分析法，主要剖析英汉日常表达中常见动物。研究主要从四个方面比较：同一动物词语文化内涵相同，同一动物词语文化内涵不同，不同的动物词语代表相同文化内涵以及英汉中特有的动物词汇涵义。通过以上的比较分析后，再深入思考到底是何原因造成了此种文化内涵的差异。

研究分析之后，发现这些原因主要有：第一，地理位置，中国以陆地为主，英语使用者多居住于沿海地区；第二，宗教信仰，中国属于多宗教国家，众多西方人则信仰基督教；第三，社会习俗，不同的生活习惯导致中国和西方人对待同一动物持有不同的看法；第四，历史因素；第五，文学典故等等。正是以上原因的错综复杂才最终促成了英汉两种语言绚丽多姿的语言画卷。

也正是因为上述差异导致两国语言难以沟通。会导致两国语言难以沟通。因此，了解英汉两种语言在动物词汇文化内涵的差异，可以有效促进西方文化的学习，更有助于英语学习者提高英语能力，特别是在沟通交流和翻译方面。
