摘要：英语阅读对中学生来说是获取信息的重要途径之一，然而就目前初中英语课堂的现状而言，大多数初中生对泛读材料的广度和深度没有给予太多的投入，因此很难开拓思路，提高阅读策略和技巧，提高阅读水平。教材作为主要的训练材料，对提高阅读能力是不够的。英语报刊实效性强，语言真实，材料多样，文体风格丰富，可以作为课外补充阅读教学的有趣题材。同时，报刊中的阅读材料蕴含大量的信息，这能激活并构建学生的背景知识或图式。

本研究以图式理论和图式阅读理论，将报刊阅读引入阅读策略的教学，进行了为期三个月的英语报刊阅读课程的训练。采用前测、后测、问卷调查、访谈等方法进行研究，在成都市嘉祥外国语学校八年级五班进行。本研究旨在通过英语报刊以英语报纸《21世纪英语报》初二版为例，选取其中的阅读篇章作为课外阅读材料，利用报纸的专栏“酷文解码”和“测试天地”以及老师设计的多种类型的问题和练习题来培养学生使用阅读策略的意识和训练其灵活的使用阅读策略。

该研究表明，利用英语报刊进行的英语阅读策略的训练增强了学生主动使用阅读策略的意识，提高了学生综合灵活使用阅读策略的能力，从而在学生英语阅读兴趣和整体的阅读理解上产生积极的影响。本研究为阅读策略教学提供了一些新的思路，教师应努力激发学生的阅读策略意识，引导学生主动、自觉地使用英语阅读策略。
