一、教材内容分析

This unit comes from the book which is published by People’s Education Press. It is Unit8, Volume 1, Grade 7. The whole unit takes “birthday” as the main line, and integrates the words of 12 months and ordinal numbers [1st -31st] learning into a series of small tasks. And a series of dialogue activities about birthdays help achieve a final goal that is to learn to use the expression of dates. Section A mainly takes “When is your birthday?” as the clue, and focuses on the expression of the date, including the learning of the words of months and ordinal numbers. The second part continues to learn and strengthen the expressions of date. Therefore, the instructional design of Section A adopts a progressive teaching method, taking into the cultivation of various abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing, with the emphasis on listening and speaking. Section B is an expansion and extension of the existing basis. For example, when is the school trip? At the same time from listening and speaking training to the cultivation of reading and writing ability. The exercise of shelf-check is a self-test after class. First, it is the test of vocabulary learned in this unit, and then it is the expansion of cultural knowledge.
