一、教材内容分析

This unit is the fifth unit in the FLTRP senior high school compulsory one. This unit mainly focuses on developing students’ skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and realizing the emotional goals of loving nature. In part 1, students are supposed to enhance the reading skills .This part also presents some new words about wild animals so that students can broaden their vocabulary. In part 2, students are supposed to grasp the usage of the attributive clause and be able to make some appropriate productions. In part 3, they can develop their listening skills by doing listening tasks and broaden their vocabulary by presenting new words of the wild. In part 4, students will develop their writing skills by different kinds of writing tasks so as to accomplish emotional goals.

 

二、学习者特征分析

High school students are in the period of value generation and transition to adulthood. High school students have a certain knowledge reserve, which can help them to complete the tasks faster in the new study. More than that, the vision of Grade One students should be broadened, and the class should not only teach language knowledge. Therefore, in teaching, it is essential to improve students' skills of language use and necessary to accomplish emotional goals, which can help students to develop good values while learning language skills.
