Abstract
With the deepening of the research on key competency, key competency has played an increasingly important role in the basic education stage. The urgent need of implementing the fundamental task of "moral education " is to implement the key competency and academic quality requirements into teaching of various disciplines. This paper conducts an empirical study on the implementation of English key competency in Jiangsu province's basic education stage, analyzes the factors affecting the implementation of English key competency, and on this basis puts forward related suggestions to promote the implementation of English key competency.
