中文摘要:很多学者认为写作是提升英语专业思辨能力最有效的方法之一。 本文基于读者意识和思辨能力的内在联系,聚焦英语专业学生议论文写作的读者意识, 以分析其批判性思维在议论文写作中的呈现情况。研究以Berrill的读者意识量表为依据,评估了英语专业学生议论文写作中读者意识的水平,并分析每一水平的读者意识表现手段的特征以及所采取的的策略。结果表明1)多数英语专业学生读者意识处于中低等水平;2)不同水平的文章不论是在语言还是认知上会呈现出不同的特点和策略;3)学生读者意识主要存在两大问题:其一是学生在写作中缺乏关注读者的意识;其二是缺乏与读者有效互动的策略,因而削弱了议论文写作的说服力。针对问题,本文以罗素的文章“工作”为例为写作教学提供了一些建议。 关键词:思辨能力;读者意识;议论文写作;英语专业
