中文摘要：随着信息时代的到来，互联网凭借其普及性，广泛性，便捷性等特点在新闻传播领域扮演着愈发重要的作用。其中，新闻标题是新闻的灵魂所在，旨在激发读者的兴趣，画龙点睛。根据盖洛普的一项调查结果，在中国，浏览新闻时只关注新闻标题却忽略全文的用户高达80%，因此新闻标题翻译显得尤为重要。作为引领智力前沿的新闻类型之一，科技新闻受到人们大量的关注。科学新闻较其他类型新闻而言具有一定的特殊性，译者不仅需要对事实进行简短准确的阐述，更需对科技事件及所蕴含的专业知识进行准确地翻译。若只注重科技新闻标题的科学性，翻译会枯燥乏味，读者读不懂；若只注重其可读性，则过于哗众取宠，科学家避而远之，因此如何使两者达到平衡是翻译的一大难题。国内学者对于新闻标题的翻译展开了不少研究，但是对于科技领域的研究却甚少。

在此背景下，本文将以弗米尔的目的论为理论支持，对科技新闻标题的翻译技巧进行研究。目的论认为翻译目的决定翻译方法。本研究的语料选自中国日报双语网这一国内权威媒体,本文作者将选取近年来具有代表性的优秀科技新闻标题，从目的论的三大翻译原则出发，分别在词汇，句法和文化方面提出翻译技巧，为今后的科技新闻翻译提供帮助。
