摘要：新一轮的高中英语教学改革对英语的课堂教学，尤其是对阅读教学模式的转换提出了新的要求，培养核心素养成为重中之重。曾经在应试教育的压力下，传统的英语阅读教学模式只注重词汇和语法分析，这种教学方式已然不适应于当今的社会发展趋势。作为一门让学生放眼看世界的学科，英语课程的教学不能只注重于简单的日常生活，而更应该与更丰富多样的知识文化相融合。内容教学法作为一种将学科知识或主题内容与语言学习相结合的教学方法，对于探索新的阅读教学模式具有实践意义。本论文将探索基于内容的高中英语教学中学科核心素养的培养机制。在实施基于内容的阅读教学过程中，尝试把发展学生的核心素养作为英语学科的教学目标，在高中英语阅读教学中寻找培养学科核心素养的出发点、关联点和结合点，探索培养学生语言能力、思维品质、文化品格和学习能力的可行路径。
