Abstract:As a common drink in modern society, tea has been popularized all over the world. As the birthplace of tea, China has endowed tea culture with unique spiritual significance and cultural connotation. In recent years, many scholars combine tea culture research with literary works. From the Victorian era to Elizabeth II, the English tea culture represented by afternoon tea gradually penetrated into all aspects of British life, which greatly affected people's living habits and even the way of social and economic development. Black tea began to be popular in the aristocratic circle of England, and was finally respected by the royal family, and slowly extended to the daily life of the whole middle and lower classes of England. From the working class to the royal aristocrats, drinking tea is an important part of daily life. The influence of tea culture also permeates all kinds of foreign literature works, with the British and American novels describing the British tea culture ,this paper chooses several representatives so as to analyze the tea culture appearing in English novels, poems, and prose.
