摘要：各个国家和民族的语言都有在长期的历史发展过程中形成的特有的文化负载词。文化负载词的英译并非简单的语言转换，更是中西文化交流的桥梁与媒介。《古文观止》这一优秀古典散文合集中包含了大量的中国文化负载词，反映了中国传统的、具有特色的文化元素。但其英译本仍不够充足，相关研究和文献也相对较少。罗经国教授具备扎实的英汉语言功底和深厚的文学造诣，精选并翻译了其中的32篇散文。罗教授对于文化负载词的处理也具有重要的探讨价值。

本文就尤金·奈达对于翻译中的文化因素的分类的观点和前人对文化负载词翻译策略以及对罗教授《古文观止》英译的文献研究，将对罗教授的《古文观止》英译本中文化负载词的翻译进行研究，对其采取的异化与归化等翻译策略作出简要分析和评论。

研究发现，译者在翻译文化负载词时所采取的翻译策略并非固定的或绝对的，选择方法时需要具体问题具体分析，以便更好地呈现源语文化的内涵，展现文本魅力。笔者希望借此能为更多的译者提供翻译的参考经验，促进中国优秀传统文化更好地传播。
