摘要：动物习语，作为日常生活中经常使用的一种俗语，在英语和汉语中有均着广泛的应用。但是，由于中西文化的差异, 同一种动物的文化内涵可能有相似之处，也可能会存在差异。动物习语在很大程度上是易懂难译的。而动物习语的运用，往往是语言学习者熟练掌握这门语言的重要体现。无论是在中国，还是在西方国家，一些语言表达往往通过隐喻，以生动地传达内涵。因此，在翻译中，我们不应全都直译，而应根据当地动物文化的内涵，结合语境，采用不同的翻译方法，才能正确地传达动物习语的含义。本文从中西文化差异的角度出发，分析了动物习语中动物意向内涵对照的分类，并应对不同的情况进行分析，而后采取了不同的翻译方法，充分展示了动物习语翻译的魅力。掌握动物习语的字面意义和文化内涵，有助于在中西语言交流之间架起一座桥梁。这既有助于打破中西文化壁垒, 又有助于双方文化的传播、交流和融合。
