中文摘要：在21世纪，英语已经成为一种全球性的语言，现在越来越多的人都在学习英语，然而传统的教学模式已经无法适应新的教学需求。因此，英语教学模式的改革至关重要。微课作为近年来教育界广泛关注的一种新型学习资源，是教育信息化发展的产物。微课个性化、关注度高、易于享受的特点，在一定程度上迎合了学生的个性化学习和发展，丰富了教学内容和课程资源，促进了教师的专业发展。这就需要我们充分发挥微课的优势，促进微课与英语教学的整合，优化教学过程，转变教学模式，以此有效促进教学的革新，实现教学质量的全面提升。
本文以初中英语教学为例，主要从微课的优势、方法、教师和学生的教与学等方面来探讨微课在初中英语教学中的应用，利用相关文献来研究微课在初中英语教学中的具体应用，使其对初中英语课堂的价值最大化。
