中文摘要：跨文化交际能力研究是上世纪八十年代初才开始引入中国的，在九十年代呈现白热化，一直到今天热潮仍保持上升趋势。但是国内跨文化交际能力的研究仍处于摸索阶段，回顾中国过去二十多年的研究就会发现中国跨文化交际能力的研究大多缺乏实践和尝试，从而导致在实际课堂教学中存在一些问题。本文主要讨论了英语教学中培养跨文化交际能力的策略。运用了文献搜集法，指出了跨文化交际能力培养在中国的现状、存在的问题以及它的培养策略。针对如何把培养跨文化交际能力与中学英语教学相结合这个问题，本文提出了四点建议:把培养跨文化交际能力看成一个长期目标；让英语教师成为学生的榜样；处理好中外文化的差异；在培养跨文化交际能力的过程中做好自我监督和自我反思。正是因为跨文化交际能力的培养对中学英语教学有很大帮助，研究它的培养策略自然就成为了重要任务。
