Abstract
For foreign language learners, mother tongue interference has become one of the main roadblocks that hinder them from mastering the target language skillfully. Hence, the dissertation aims to find the interlingual errors in students’ writings and to arouse the attention of English teachers. First, the dissertation collects errors made by junior middle school students in their English writings. Then, it analyzes why Chinese students tend to produce such errors. Finally, the dissertation gives three corresponding teaching strategies to help improve the quality of English writing teaching.
