中文摘要：思維导图作为现代社会中新兴的一种图形思维理念和方式，通过文字与图形巧妙结合的形式，利用相应的层级图来表现与文字内容的关系，从而促使人们的思维得以发展。主要是以一种直观且发射性的方式来刺激学生的思维，近年来在初中英语教学中被逐渐应用，取得了良好的教学效果。在初中英语教学中运用思维导图，可以引导学生对所学的知识进行自主思考和解决，提高学生的学习效率以及掌握知识的能力。这种教学方式不仅可以有效调动学生的思维以及创造性，而且在一定程度上能大大提高教学质量和效率。因为阅读在英语教学中占比重较大，且初中生为第一次接触阅读理解，所以思维导图在阅读中的应用更是关键。而农村的英语教学也是英语教育所需要着重提高的部分。本文通过对思维导图的探究和分析，来证明思维导图在英语阅读中应用的意义，提出了在初中英语教学中的应用策略，以期提高农村学生的英语学习能力。
