摘要：动机被认为是影响二语学习的关键因素之一。在过去的几十年里，与二语学习动机相关的研究日益丰富。2005年，杜尼（Dörnyei）提出了二语动机自我系统。该理论将二语学习动机概念化于“自我”框架中，包括三个维度：理想二语自我、应该二语自我以及二语学习体验。该研究以二语动机自我系统为理论基础，通过问卷对159名来自杭州政苑小学的学生进行调查，试图发现在年龄和性别方面小学生英语学习动机的变化和特点。结果表明，总体来说小学生在学习英语方面有较强的动机。在性别方面，男生的二语动机自我系统与女生的二语动机自我系统在三个维度上均没有显著差异。在年龄方面，六年级学生英语学习动机两极分化的程度高于三年级学生，同时，六年级学生在二语动机自我系统三个维度上的得分均显著低于三年级学生，意味着在小学英语学习过程中，学生的学习动机逐渐削弱。
