摘要：近年来，中国的经济实力和国际地位不断提高，但如果要提高国家的综合实力，就不应低估文化软实力的力量。文化负载词是中国传统文化的精髓，准确翻译文化负载词是推动中国文化走出国门、走向世界的重要力量。

 钱钟书的小说《围城》是“五四运动”以来中国批判现实主义的杰出作品之一，自出版后在国内外引起了热烈反响。珍妮·凯利 (Jeanne Kelly) 和茅国权 (Nathan K. Mao) 于1979年出版了英文译本。一方面，书中出现的文化负载词反映了中国传统文化的鲜明特征，但另一方面，也为跨文化交际带来了一定的障碍。因此，探索这些词汇及其翻译策略拥有着很高的研究价值和运用前景。

本论文基于奈达对于翻译中文化因素划分理论，通过归纳、综合和分类，将《围城》中的文化负载词分为生态文化负载词、物质文化负载词、社会文化负载词、宗教文化负载词和语言文化负载词五大类。最后，总结了《围城》中各类文化负载词的翻译方法，并对每种方法进行了分析。

当前文学作品的翻译以英译汉为主，而大量的优秀中国文学作品尚未传播到世界各地，但文化负载词的准确翻译可以促进翻译质量的提高，从而取得更好的文学传播效果。通过对《围城》中文化负载词的研究，笔者希望汉语著作能更多更好地被翻译成英文，从而进一步促进中西文化交流。
