摘要：美国 20 世纪 60 年代的女权运动的开展，为女性意识的觉醒做了很大程度上的铺垫。大部分女性读者认为《廊桥遗梦》揭露了目前婚姻生活中所存在的问题，以及女性对理想的、真切的爱情和的追求。由于男性价值观念被推崇，因此,在社会发展的进程当中，男性的主导地位使得女性的生活往往是围绕着她们的家庭，她们的婚姻生活，渐渐地，她们迷失了自己，直至最后放弃追求自身价值,弗朗西斯卡就是这一观点下的牺牲品之一。 

本文将以弗朗西斯卡为例，站在女性主义的角度来分析和理解《廊桥遗梦》,探究书中中想要表达的女性意识的存在与缺失,并从女性的视角来感受弗朗西丝卡的心境及处境,进而对现代女性所面对的共同困境进行探究。首先会简单介绍女性主义的起源、发展以及此书中体现出来的女性主义的特点，然后分析弗朗西斯卡所处的困境，展现她内心的矛盾，接下来会着重分析弗朗西斯卡在遇见金凯德前后以及和金凯德分别后的心理变化，通过对比的方法来展现她身上所展现出来的女性主义的特征，最后，本文将对弗朗西斯卡的选择做一个简单的理解和分析，以便让人们更全面地认识弗朗西斯卡，更加了解到她身上所展现出来的女性意识。
