中文摘要：由于我们国家的经济和文化的不断发展，各个方面的需求也在不断的增加。学生所需要具备的能力也就越来越多。传统的应试教育能够择选出成绩优秀的人才，但是也存在着很多问题，满足不了时代的需求。所以当前的教育事业在不断的创新。据研究发现，随着教学方式的不断创新，在教学过程中教师运用情感教学能够激发学生的学习兴趣，引导学生在中学英语学习过程中掌握更好的英语学习技巧，使学生能够提高英语学习成绩。教师利用多元的教学手段，创新教学方式 ，营造良好的课堂氛围，提高英语教学质量,使学生更加喜欢课堂，喜欢老师，喜欢英语这门学科,拉近教师与学生之间的距离。教师充分了解学生内心的真实想法，并且有针对性的进行教学提升。在提高学生学习成绩的同时，也引导学生成为一个拥有正能量的人。本文围绕情感教育在中学英语教育中的应用展开论述,主要以新课改与素质教育为研究背景，首先阐述我国的中学英语教学的现状，列举出中学英语教学存在的问题；再论述情感教育在中学英语教学中的积极作用；然后探讨情感教育在中学英语教学中的有效方法；最后总结出情感教育在中学英语教学过程中，教师对学生付出情感，使用情感去引导学生学习就是情感教育。
