Abstract
In view of the current application and development trend of information technology in primary school English classroom, it is particularly important to promote the modernization of education through informatization. The information- -based teaching environment will promote the fundamental reform of teaching methods and teaching modes and greatly change the traditional learning methods of students. This article takes the improvement of elementary school English teaching methods as the object, studies the positive effects of information technology on elementary school English teaching on the theoretical basis of related new teaching models. The author will make an in-depth discussion on how to make full use of modern information technology and effectively integrate English classroom teaching in primary schools by means of literature review and comparison. Teachers should broaden the ways and means of primary school students' English learning and enhance their comprehensive language ability, so as to achieve the high efficiency of English teaching and promote the development of education.
