中文摘要：随着经济全球化和一体化， 英语逐步成为一种世界语言。英语教学的目的是让学生用英语自由交流。然而，经过十几年的英语学习，我国很多学生在试卷上可以得到满意的分数，却不能成功地用英语和英语国家本民族语言者进行交流。

本文以教育学、心理学和语言学为基础，从新课程中对中学生身心素质文化意识要求出发，对我国中学生跨文化交际水平进行了问卷调查。我们了解中国中学生的英语跨文化交际水平，另一方面分析了影响中学生英语跨文化交际提高的因素。

调查显示，中学生文化知识、跨文化交流和跨文化沟通能力有待提高。主要原因有学生缺乏跨文化意识培养、民族中心主义、母语反向迁移的不利影响，以及学校教育环境、教师自身文化素质等外部原因。针对以上原因，提出以下对策：树立良好的教学理念，正确认识和处理文化意识培养与语言教学的关系；加强文化知识的传授，重视学生文化理解的培养；增强学生跨文化交流意识，促进学生跨文化交流能力的发展。
