一、教材内容分析

This unit is the seventh unit in the second volume of Grade 7 Go for it. This unit mainly focuses on the communicative function of “talking about how to get to places”, and use the special questions guided by “how, how long, how far” to inquire about how to get to places. Section A shows students to use different means of transportation to go to school and lead students to talk about “transportation” each other naturally . In this part, students need to master new words , verb phrase about transportation and special questions guided by “how”. Then, to deepen the theme, students should study and remember the expressions of tens and hundreds digits in English, and let students catch the number in the conversation through listening. Section B presents a complex context: transfer. This part conducts an deep discussion on the topic of transportation and expands the topic vocabulary of this unit, and trains students to capture information and narrate complex things in listening and speaking activities. Listening and speaking activities can help students practice target language structures of this unit. The reading material for this unit is a story about children going to school in the remote villages. This story reflects the hardship of children in remote areas. The purpose is to let students pay attention to the social events, and at the same time, students should treasure the current learning condition and life and study hard.
