中文摘要：小组合作学习就是小组成员为了共同的目的，以小组的形式一起做某件工作或完成某项任务的教学活动。作为一种富有创新和实效的学习方式，它被世界上许多国家所接纳。当今，社会越来越需要合作性人才，基础教育改革也越来越重视培养学生的合作能力，因而初中英语教学中小组合作学习的应用也越来越广泛，这对提高学生对英语的综合运用能力以及实施素质教育具有重要意义，然而，小组合作学习在英语课堂的实施过程中也不可避免地存在一定的问题。

因此本论文在借鉴、分析国内外小组合作学习相关研究的基础上，立足于当前初中英语教学小组合作学习的应用情况，提出相应的英语教学改进策略。本论文第一部分主要介绍了论文研究的目的和意义；第二部分介绍了小组合作学习相关的概念以及国内外的研究；第三部分提出了小组合作学习的必要性；第四部分指出了初中英语教学中采用小组合作这种教学模式在实施过程中遇到的问题，并从教师和学生两个主体以及小组活动前中后三个阶段进行阐述；第五部分提出了有效实施小组合作学习的建议，主要是从小组活动前中后三个阶段进行阐述的。
