中文摘要：科技英语是英语的一个分支，它词汇数据庞杂、来源广泛，特点是专业性强、意义明确单一。随着我国的发展，其在日常生活中也发挥着不可忽视的作用。随着社会的不断进步，电影媒体引导的文化交流已经是大势所趋，字幕翻译的地位也在大幅提升。探讨科技英语字幕翻译策略理论不但有助于理解剧情及内容，更有助于中西方之间的文化传播。

本论文以美剧《切尔诺贝利》为例，试图运用科技英语翻译为指导，研究字幕译者的推理过程。通过对字幕翻译进行实例学习和研究，旨在引起人们对字幕翻译的重视，提高字幕翻译质量，满足当今社会下目的语观众的期待，促进文化交流的顺利进行。同时，希望提高译者对翻译理论的认识，并提升译者结合信、达、雅等翻译理论进行翻译实践的能力。也希望读者借此了解切尔诺贝利这一历史上最严重的核危机，提高人们的危机意识及环保意识，尊重科学，敬畏生命。
