Abstract
Situational teaching method can set up a favorable English learning atmosphere by creating vivid and real-life situations and cultivates students’ enthusiasm for learning. This paper mainly discusses how to create effective situations in primary English classrooms. Firstly, it introduces the definition and research status of situational teaching method, then analyzes the problems existing in English teaching in elementary schools, and finally puts forward specific strategies for creating English classroom situations in primary school based on the principles of situation creation and specific teaching examples, which aims to improve the efficiency and quality of English teaching in primary school.
