Abstract
Based on the theory of second language acquisition, this article will study the factors that affect English listening learning: exam-oriented, lack of language background knowledge, and a single teaching method; combined with actual classroom teaching and learning, to explore the corresponding countermeasures: teach in English to creating a good class atmosphere, enrich and expand the background knowledge of the language, and reform the teaching methods. In this way, the efficiency of teaching and learning English listening can be improved, and the level and ability of primary school students in English listening can be improved overall.
